After Sharing Senses with the Paranoid CEO, the Infamous Starlet was Forced into Pampering Chapter 6
Chapter 6: Don’t You Know if My Butt is Perky or Not?
The voice sounded somewhat familiar, but Xia Mu, whose attention was entirely on Xiatian, frowned and instinctively looked up to retort:
“Take what? Are you sick or something?”
Before getting out of the car, Li Yanzhou had already planned out a scheme. If Xia Mu agreed to follow him, he would just give him an apartment and treat it like raising a pet.
If Xia Mu refused, then Li Yanzhou would have to see who else he was planning to sell himself to.
For Xia Mu, his best choice could only be him.
Unexpectedly, Xia Mu’s first words were an insult. A flash of bewilderment crossed Li Yanzhou’s eyes, and then he saw Xia Mu’s half-spoken sentence take a sudden turn:
“Cough, um… the sick one is me. Li Yan, I sent your clothes and scarf to the dry cleaners. I’ll give them to you once I get them back in a few days.”
“Didn’t I say last night it wasn’t necessary?” Xia Mu’s sudden flustered look was quite interesting. Li Yanzhou glanced at the cat by his feet and asked:
“Are you very short of money?”
“Not right now, but I might be in a bit.” For some reason, Xia Mu always felt a sense of pressure from Li Yan, so he instinctively told him the truth.
“So you’re selling yourself at the hotel entrance?” Li Yanzhou let out a cold snort from his nose, sizing up Xia Mu, trying to find a single flaw in his expression.
“Do you really cherish your body so little? You have no chest and no butt—who do you think you can sell yourself to?” Looking into Xia Mu’s clear eyes, Li Yanzhou felt inexplicably irritable.
“I take back what I just said. The one with a mental problem is definitely you,” Xia Mu said calmly. “I don’t know where you got the idea that I’m working the streets. And… I’m a guy, where would I get a chest? But as for whether my butt is perky or not—don’t you already know?”
“If you don’t want the clothes, fine. They can probably be sold for quite a bit of money.” Xia Mu crouched down again and picked up Xiatian.
“Doesn’t your sign say 10 yuan per time?” Hearing Xia Mu say this, Li Yanzhou was stunned for a moment. Could he have misread it?
However, Li Yanzhou recalled that yesterday when he was holding Xia Mu, he had worried about him falling, so he seemed to have used his arm to support Xia Mu’s butt.
Although there was a layer of fabric in between, it had indeed been soft and quite elastic.
“Open your eyes and look closely at exactly what is 10 yuan ‘each.’ I’m not that cheap.” Xia Mu was practically driven to laughter by the absurdity. He slapped the sign against Li Yanzhou’s chest.
“Oh, by the way, those jackfruits are for you. Consider it repayment for you saving me yesterday. That hotel manager is like his brain is fried—sending a cart of jackfruit in the middle of the night and calling it some ‘special supply.'” Xia Mu turned to leave.
After seeing the words written on the sign clearly, Li Yanzhou took a deep breath. It turned out he really had misunderstood.
He was about to chase after Xia Mu to explain when he heard Xia Mu say the person who sent the jackfruit had a “fried brain.” Li Yanzhou stopped in his tracks, expressionless.
As Xia Mu walked, he thought about Li Yan’s words and muttered to himself: “If I were to sell myself, I’d definitely go find a director and beg him to give me a role. Who would wait here to catch a stray? My manager mentioned before that someone wanted to keep me as a plaything. It’s a pity I didn’t agree back then.”
What? Finding a director to “keep” him? Li Yanzhou was startled and wanted to chase him again. Seeing the assistant driving over, he stood in place and massaged his temples, feeling as though he had been played like a fool.
Every time he encountered something related to Xia Mu, his emotions fluctuated wildly. What “destined person”? It was more like a remote control that could manipulate his feelings.
Li Yanzhou got into the car, pointed in Xia Mu’s direction, and took a deep breath:
“Follow him.”
Xia Mu wasn’t walking very fast. He had exchanged some change at the hotel and intended to go to the bus stop.
He could have called a car to the company, but Xia Mu didn’t want to receive any calls from his manager and couldn’t block him, so his phone had remained off.
A black car suddenly stopped beside him. Li Yanzhou lowered the window and glanced at Xia Mu:
“Get in.”
“I have things to do. But remember to return that little cart for the jackfruit to the hotel; it isn’t mine.”
After Xia Mu finished speaking, he continued walking while holding Xiatian.
“I’ll give you a ride,” Li Yanzhou said patiently.
He thought it would take more persuasion for Xia Mu to get in, but the boy simply opened the car door and sat in the back seat.
“Shengyi Entertainment, thank you.”
Xia Mu turned his head and didn’t miss the surprise on Li Yan’s face. He asked in confusion: “What is it? Didn’t you say you’d give me a ride?”
Li Yanzhou retracted his gaze and nodded slightly. Thinking about the “keeping” that had come out of Xia Mu’s mouth, after a long silence, he finally couldn’t help but ask:
“Do you want to find a Gold Master?”
Xia Mu turned and lifted his gaze: “I don’t have that idea for the time being.”
With Li Yan asking so suddenly, could he want to keep him? Xia Mu grew alert. He understood that no one would be good to him without conditions.
And who was this person? What was his profession? How old was he, did he have a family, and so on? He knew nothing about him, only that he was rich.
Xia Mu understood well enough that wealthy people played around.
“Mhm. If you do have the idea, I am the primary candidate.”
“Why?” Xia Mu asked back in confusion.
“There is no reason. You have no other choice,” Li Yanzhou said indifferently.
The assistant driving in the front was having a really hard time holding back his laughter. What kind of Gold Master promotes himself like that? It sounds like a threat.
“Oh.” Xia Mu glanced at Li Yanzhou and mimicked his expression, looking utterly indifferent.
“You don’t believe me?”
“Why don’t you pull over at the intersection ahead?” Xia Mu looked out the window. There happened to be a hospital up ahead. One of his hands was still gently scratching Xiatian’s chin.
“Why?”
“No reason. I just think you should go check in with the psychiatric department.”
Xia Mu mimicked Li Yanzhou’s tone, then waited for the man to kick him out of the car.
To Xia Mu’s surprise, Li Yan didn’t make a sound. Xia Mu stole a glance at him from the corner of his eye. Seeing Li Yan’s expressionless face, he thought this person’s temper was actually quite good.
Only the assistant in the front seemingly couldn’t hold back anymore, letting out a faint laugh followed by a few coughs to mask the awkwardness.
Li Yanzhou’s arm had been getting brushed by Xiatian’s tail. He took a few deep, agitated breaths before he could suppress the urge to just pack Xia Mu up and take him away as a caged bird.
“Phone.”
Li Yanzhou spoke slowly, reaching his hand out toward Xia Mu.
Because Li Yan was kindly giving him a ride, yet he had just rudely insulted his mental health—and Li Yan could still speak to him with such stable emotions—Xia Mu suddenly became very well-behaved and handed him the phone.
“Why is it off?” Li Yanzhou’s eyebrows arched slightly.
“Too many harassing calls.” Xia Mu looked indifferent, but his tone wasn’t quite as light.
Li Yanzhou didn’t ask further. After returning the phone to Xia Mu, he handed his own phone over to him:
“Your number. Save it.”
Although a private investigator had already given him the number years ago when Xia Mu first got it, it hadn’t come from a legitimate source. It was better to get it in person like this.
Xia Mu created a new contact, looking down and tapping the screen.
“If I find out the number is fake, you…”
Li Yanzhou paused, his gaze glancing over the digits Xia Mu was inputting.
