After Sharing Senses with the Paranoid CEO, the Infamous Starlet was Forced into Pampering Chapter 12
Chapter 12: “That Was My First Kiss!”
The sea surface that had been as smooth as a mirror just moments ago suddenly saw Xia Mu violently dragged away by an unpredicted, powerful undercurrent. He felt as if an invisible giant hand had seized his ankles, and the moment he fell, the water submerged the top of his head.
Xia Mu struggled incessantly but couldn’t float up. Salty seawater poured frantically into his nose and mouth, making his lungs burn with pain.
Li Yanzhou rushed into the sea like a madman, swimming with all his might toward that deceptively calm patch of water. Visibility under the water was somewhat blurry, and Li Yanzhou could only dive deep based on the area where Xia Mu had last vanished.
After finding Xia Mu, Li Yanzhou scooped up his still-sinking waist and, without hesitation, pinched Xia Mu’s jaw to press his own against those icy lips.
Li Yanzhou forcibly transferred the air from his own body into Xia Mu’s suffocating chest.
His slightly trembling fingers stroked Xia Mu’s cheek. That moment of exchanged breath was the most panicked prayer in Li Yanzhou’s life.
In those few short seconds, fear pierced through his chest like an icicle. Li Yanzhou felt a faint response from Xia Mu. He pulled the boy’s waist close and, holding Xia Mu, charged toward the left along with the flow of the current.
Every second was agonizingly long, until the suction of the undercurrent beneath them suddenly vanished. Li Yanzhou clutched the person who was still coughing and choking in his arms as they charged onto the shallow beach. He knelt on the sand with Xia Mu in his arms, his hands still trembling uncontrollably.
Cold sweat from the narrow escape mixed with the seawater dripping down. Only the actual body heat of Xia Mu in his arms could slightly calm Li Yanzhou’s heart, which was nearly jumping out of his throat.
The assistant had already called over the lifeguards. A group of people was searching the sea, and an ambulance was also on its way. Now seeing Li Yanzhou bringing Xia Mu up, the assistant, who had been scared half to death, hurriedly ran over.
Xia Mu couldn’t stop coughing. He felt a pair of large, exceptionally warm hands on his back. When his consciousness cleared slightly, he opened his eyes and looked behind him with some effort.
Why did the person who saved him look so much like Li Yan?
But why was it that, unlike the calm and composed man from the earthquake, his face seemed full of panic?
“Cough… are you a Bodhisattva? No… I should call you a ‘male’ Bodhisattva.”
Xia Mu forced out this sentence, and then, truly having no strength left, he slumped into Li Yanzhou’s arms.
Li Yanzhou, who was frantic with worry, was suddenly provoked to a laugh by Xia Mu’s words.
The members of the project crew gathered around in concern. Ren Zhilin, who was playing nearby, was also dragged over by the assistant. Seeing the soaked Li Yanzhou and the unconscious Xia Mu in his arms, he quickly knelt down to check:
“I only left for a moment! Good heavens! One of these days, you two are going to give me a heart attack.”
While Ren Zhilin performed emergency CPR on Xia Mu, the ambulance arrived. The assistant stayed behind to discuss the next steps with the project crew.
When Xia Mu opened his eyes again, he found the environment had changed. Before he could look around, he heard voices speaking nearby:
“I suggest observing him for a few more days to see if there are any adverse reactions. I’m worried about ‘dry drowning,’ which is delayed drowning…”
The voice sounded somewhat familiar; he felt as if he had heard it somewhere before.
Immediately after, Xia Mu heard footsteps. He looked toward the sound and saw Li Yan.
The man was wearing a simple white tank top that revealed his powerful arms. His muscular contours were obvious, with slightly protruding veins, giving his physique a highly sexualized tension.
So the Li Yan he saw before fainting wasn’t a hallucination. Watching Li Yan walk closer, Xia Mu licked his lips.
“Um… are you also a model hired by EK?”
“What?”
Li Yanzhou originally thought Xia Mu’s first words would be ‘thank you.’ What was this baffling nonsense?
“Hong Jie, the director for this shoot, said that EK’s models in the past were all the muscular type like you.”
“I’m not.”
Li Yanzhou sat on a chair beside the hospital bed, looking at Xia Mu’s still-pale face. He felt there was a kind of feminine, sickly beauty to him.
“I’m just here on vacation.”
So that was it. Xia Mu looked at Li Yan. Having just woken up, his throat was a bit uncomfortable, so he said: “Can—can you get me a glass of water?”
Li Yanzhou handed over a glass of warm water. Xia Mu slowly sat up, only to realize with horror that he wasn’t wearing anything at all—except for a pair of shorts that weren’t even his.
As if seeing through Xia Mu’s thoughts, Li Yanzhou spoke thinly: “Your underwear was soaked through, so I took it off.”
“You took it off?” Xia Mu’s eyes widened. This meant Li Yan was also the one who helped him put on these shorts?
“Who else did you think it was?”
Xia Mu bit his lip and didn’t speak, trying to hide his embarrassment by taking a sip of water. The moment his lips touched the rim of the glass, the sensation caused his hand to tremble. It was as if several images were suddenly forced into his mind. Xia Mu looked at Li Yanzhou in disbelief:
“We… we kissed?!”
Li Yanzhou didn’t deny it, simply nodding his head flatly.
“That was my first kiss!”
“Not only did we kiss, I used my tongue too. It felt pretty good, quite soft.” Li Yanzhou propped his chin on his hand, looking completely calm as he admired the various expressions on Xia Mu’s face.
There was panic, shame, and helplessness, along with what seemed to be a trace of regret for not experiencing it while conscious?
“Are you still drinking the water?”
A teasing smile quirked at the corner of Li Yanzhou’s lips as his gaze fixed directly and nakedly on Xia Mu.
“Or… should I feed you in a different way?”
Xia Mu, who had been frantic just a moment ago, suddenly became much calmer upon hearing this:
“Oh, then do as you please.”
“Since we’ve already kissed, it’s not like I’m missing a piece of flesh. You’re quite handsome, so I’m not losing out.”
Just as Xia Mu finished speaking, his jaw was suddenly gripped by Li Yanzhou’s hand. The sudden proximity caused Xia Mu’s heart to race.
Li Yanzhou stared fixedly into Xia Mu’s eyes, trying to find a hint of panic. Instead, it was like falling into a clear spring, rippling with wisps of tenderness. It also seemed to contain a trace of affection, luring him to fall deeper, as if he were sinking in involuntarily.
They were so close that Xia Mu’s heart thundered in his chest. Their noses touched, and the exhaled heat was itchy. Just as Xia Mu thought Li Yan was going to kiss him, the hand gripping his jaw suddenly exerted force.
Li Yanzhou’s thumb rubbed and pressed against his lips, which were soft and moist.
The sudden heartbeat made it impossible for Li Yanzhou to tell if it was his own, or if he was sensing Xia Mu’s.
A sudden commotion erupted outside, and Li Yanzhou, coming back to his senses, released his jaw. Looking at the faint red finger mark he had left behind, he said slowly:
“Next time.”
Xia Mu stood there dazed, clutching the glass, the temperature of Li Yan’s fingertip seemingly still lingering on his lips.
The door to the ward was flung open, and Zhu Yunhong burst in, demanding loudly:
“Xia Mu! How are you? You should be fine, right? I only went to the restroom for a moment, and the second I wasn’t watching you, you went and caused trouble. You’ve gone and inconvenienced the EK staff again. It was just standing by the sea to take photos; how could you be so careless?”
