Calling Him Teacher Lin by Day, Holding His Waist and Calling Him Baby by Night Chapter 6
Chapter 6: Give Me a Kiss, and I’ll Take a Look for You
Night.
Lin Yu finished his shower and, carrying a laptop, crawled onto the large bed in Lu Zhengming’s house.
The chair in the study was too hard and made his back ache; Lu Zhengming’s bed was much softer.
Lu Zhengming lay expressionlessly on the other side of the bed, playing with his phone.
His freshly bathed wife was lying on the bed, yet he could only play with his phone. Where was the justice?
Lu Zhengming tossed his phone aside and immediately clung to Lin Yu.
“Baby, it’s such a beautiful night. Let’s do something else”.
Stop using my computer to fill out that damn application form!
Lin Yu leaned against the headboard, his fingers typing on the keyboard, completely ignoring him. As he filled it out, he murmured:
“For a city-level project, the project background needs to be more macroscopic. Zhengming, help me take a look. Am I writing too shallowly?”
Lu Zhengming didn’t want to talk about work in bed at all. His hands wandered improperly under the clothes.
“Give me a kiss. Kiss me once, and I’ll help you look at it”.
“Stop messing around…”
Lin Yu brushed Lu Zhengming’s hand away. He hadn’t actually planned on getting any constructive advice from Lu Zhengming anyway.
Lu Zhengming gritted his teeth. It wasn’t easy for Lin Yu to stay the night at his house, yet he was focused entirely on discussing work.
It wasn’t a good thing for one’s wife to be too obsessed with being ambitious.
Moreover, it was already late. With Lin Yu’s perfectionist nature, he wouldn’t finish this damn form anytime soon.
Lu Zhengming was anxious to do something else with Lin Yu. Without a word, he snatched the laptop from Lin Yu’s lap.
“Give it here. I’ll fill it out for you!”
Lin Yu was startled, watching helplessly as Lu Zhengming snatched the computer from his embrace.
Lu Zhengming, fueled by unfulfilled desire, made the keyboard click and clack loudly.
To think he had rejected this application form from the Principal during the day, only to have to help Lin Yu fill it out at night.
After going in a circle, he still couldn’t escape it!
Lu Zhengming switched to work mode in a second. The reflective screen of the laptop mirrored his focused profile.
Lin Yu stared at the serious Lu Zhengming for a while.
The two things he loved most in his life were Lu Zhengming and work.
When Lu Zhengming was working, the usual frivolity and arrogance were stripped away, replaced by a different kind of maturity and steadiness.
Lin Yu leaned into Lu Zhengming’s embrace, his head against the man’s chest, the steady heartbeat of the other in his ear.
The questions on the application form that had caused him so much distress and hesitation took Lu Zhengming only a few minutes to perfectly complete.
Lin Yu’s gaze was blank. He had always known Lu Zhengming was very smart; the man only needed to see something once to remember it.
While he was buried in his studies during university preparing for the written exams, Lu Zhengming had merely skimmed through the books and taken first place.
Sometimes Lin Yu would wonder, with Lu Zhengming being so good, what did he actually like about him?
He considered himself stiff, indifferent, and boring, yet Lu Zhengming never tired of circling around him.
Lin Yu closed his eyes, and old memories resurfaced.
Perhaps what the man’s father had said was right.
They were not a match and wouldn’t last long.
…
Lu Zhengming worked for an hour and finally finished that damn application form.
He let out a light breath, wanting to speak to Lin Yu, only to find the other had already fallen asleep against his chest.
With a mix of amusement and helplessness, Lu Zhengming closed the computer and set it aside.
He gathered Lin Yu into his arms, left a cherished kiss on the man’s brow, and gently turned off the light.
…
In the early morning, Lin Yu’s biological clock woke him up.
Drowsily, he reached for his phone by the pillow to check the time.
“What time is it?”
Lu Zhengming hadn’t woken up yet. He blocked Lin Yu’s groping hand, his voice thick with sleep.
“Baby, sleep a bit longer. I’ll drive you to school in a while…”
Lu Zhengming’s words only served to snap Lin Yu fully awake. He sat up abruptly.
“You said… you’re going to drive me to school in your Bentley?”
Lu Zhengming had a red Bentley that was particularly flashy and conspicuous.
Lin Yu imagined the scene of Lu Zhengming driving that car to school with him. It would definitely be explosive!
“No, I’ll take the bus…”
Lin Yu struggled to get out of bed.
“Don’t bother with that”.
Lu Zhengming lazily pulled Lin Yu back into his arms.
His West City villa was remote, while Yuying was in the center of the Capital. Taking the bus would take at least an hour.
Instead of spending that time commuting, it was better to sleep a bit longer.
“No way…”
Lin Yu refused to appear in the same frame as Lu Zhengming and his red Bentley.
Lu Zhengming held Lin Yu, knowing his wife was shy and stubborn. He didn’t joke around and took a step back.
“I’ll drop you off at the intersection before the school and let you out there. Will that work?”
Lin Yu thought about it. His struggling weakened, and he compromised.
Morning.
As soon as Lin Yu entered the office, he found the female teachers in his group whispering.
“Hey, did you see? Lu Zhengming drove a Bentley to school today!”
Lin Yu walked to his workstation. His hand putting down his bag paused, and he pretended not to hear.
Another teacher whispered in agreement.
“I saw it. His family is rich, that’s why he’s so high-profile!”
Lin Yu pursed his lips. He couldn’t stand others gossiping about Lu Zhengming behind his back, so he slammed his bag onto the desk.
The commotion immediately made the two gossiping teachers shut their mouths.
Everyone knew Lin Yu’s family background wasn’t great. Talking about how rich Lu Zhengming was in front of him—wasn’t that poking at his heart?
Zhou Xu was carefree and didn’t have many ulterior motives. He simply commented with envy:
“It must be nice. Would it kill the world to have one more rich person like me?”
In the public’s impression, most teachers were poor and lofty, just like Lin Yu.
But Lu Zhengming was practically the antonym of those two words: wealthy and flashy.
For him, working was just to have a decent job to pass the time. He wasn’t like them, “beasts of burden” forced to work for a living.
Thinking of this, Zhou Xu looked at Lin Yu with pity.
Last night, Lin Yu said he worked a part-time job all night and didn’t return to the apartments. This morning, he still had to rush from the job site to school for work.
A steadfast teacher like Lin Yu was truly rare in this world!
Zhou Xu’s eyes were filled with tenderness: “Brother Lin, don’t work part-time so late in the future. You must return to the apartments to sleep every day and ensure you get enough sleep!”
“Mhm… thanks”.
Lin Yu felt lost at Zhou Xu’s sudden concern and could only guiltily look away.
In the morning, the Chinese Department had a small teaching research meeting.
As the Grade Group Leader, it was Lin Yu’s turn to speak.
The Dean of Instruction patted Lin Yu’s shoulder and asked amiably, “Xiao Lin, are all the contents for your speech ready?”
The Dean’s surname was Guo, an experienced old teacher in his fifties.
He was also the person in charge of all academic groups at Yuying and Lin Yu’s direct superior.
Guo Sheng thought very highly of Lin Yu, who was young yet serious and ambitious.
Every task given to him was completed methodically and excellently.
Guo Sheng looked at Lin Yu as if he were looking at his own son, intending to train him as his successor.
Lin Yu nodded to Guo Sheng and said respectfully:
“Teacher Guo, everything is ready”.
Lin Yu plugged the data cable into his computer and shared his PPT via screen projection.
He calmly followed the contents of the PPT, outlining the teaching methods and key difficulties for this grade level this semester.
“This semester, the Chinese Department should adopt a dual-track teaching method, with large units as the goal, focusing on implementing the teaching content…”
Lin Yu’s voice was somewhat cool, and his speech was rhythmic and pleasing to the ear.
The teachers in Yuying’s Chinese Department were generally young, and they were all buried in their notebooks taking notes.
Every time they heard Lin Yu’s report, they felt a sense of sudden enlightenment, like a spring breeze.
It was completely different from the Principal’s endless, boring, and empty promises.
Lin Yu switched to the next page and summarized the key points of the report.
“Therefore, our meeting should focus on implementing…”
Suddenly, a WeChat message popped up at the bottom of the computer screen.
[Lu Zhengming: You left your watch at my house last night.]
