Wake Up, This is Not a Dating Show! Chapter 11.1

Chapter 11 Hunting Time (Part 2) Bumped straight into the person pulling him… Part 1

The bullet screen unleashed a bombardment of CP fans.

[Hey? Look at your teammate, his voice is almost hoarse from shouting, does no one care if he lives or dies?]

[As expected of Yi-Ye Obscures the Eyes, they really can’t see anyone else!]

[Brother E, Coconut Milk is 23 years old, not 3. He definitely has the basic self-care ability to put on a helmet, okay?]

[Did I miss something? When did Brother E agree to take care of Coconut Milk?]

[Exactly how much unseen sugar is there? I’m going to Zhuolai to steal the full uncut footage!]

[Be reasonable, when practicing rollerblading, shouldn’t you hold their hand to keep them from falling? Family, am I right?]

Of course, Ye Nai wouldn’t hold Yi Xingzhi’s hand while skating. He merely skated alongside him the entire time, just in case he suddenly lost his balance.

However, after skating near the court’s fence for a while, Yi Xingzhi seemed to awaken his childhood memories. It didn’t take long for him to skate smoothly.

Therefore, Ye Nai didn’t really teach him anything, only mentioning a few key points on accelerating, braking, and turning.

Noticing the teaching session over there, the Blue Team breathed a massive sigh of relief.

Yuan Lei said, “Seeing that someone is learning on the spot and selling it immediately, I feel reassured.”

Yin Tianhan added, “Looking at it this way, the little cars aren’t that bad. At least we all know how to use them.”

While everyone was adapting to their tools, the host began clarifying the specific rules. “The match is divided into two halves, ten minutes each. You cannot leave your props at any time, otherwise, it will be considered a foul.”

“Please pay attention to safety and control your speed. Bumping into someone will grant the opponent two free throws. The rest of the rules are basically the same as a basketball game.”

“The match will officially begin in two minutes. Please send one member from each team to participate in the jump ball.”

No matter what, the most important factors for a jump ball were height and jumping ability.

Although Yi Xingzhi was the tallest on the Red Team, wearing roller skates made it inconvenient to jump. In the end, they decided Ye Nai would do the jump. The Blue Team sent out Yuan Lei, who was on the frog scooter and relatively more agile.

With the blow of a whistle, the host tossed the basketball into the air.

Both of their reaction speeds were incredibly fast, jumping almost simultaneously and reaching similar heights. However, Yuan Lei still had the advantage in height and arm length, touching the ball first.

Upon landing, Ye Nai quickly stepped onto his skateboard, preparing to chase the ball, only to see that Yi Xingzhi had already snatched it and was dribbling forward.

Although his speed wasn’t exactly fast, he skated quite steadily. Midway, he even effortlessly switched the ball to his other hand, dodging Yin Tianhan, who was riding over to steal it.

Acting faster than he could think, Ye Nai executed a silky-smooth crossover, bypassed Fu Tingyuan, who was driving the pedal car, and was just about to wave and signal Yi Xingzhi. But then he saw the other man pass the ball over, seemingly having predicted his movement all along.

Ye Nai caught the ball and, taking advantage of the lack of defense, quickly skated forward. Once under the hoop, he simply raised his hand and shot. The basketball swished precisely into the net.

From the tip-off to the goal, the entire process felt like the blink of an eye. Before anyone could even clearly see what happened, the Red Team had already scored, drawing cheers and applause from the onlookers outside the court.

“Beautiful,” Yi Xingzhi skated over and lightly gave Ye Nai a high-five.

“Nice pass,” Ye Nai replied.

The Blue Team soon realized they simply couldn’t defend against these two.

Ye Nai was way too fast. In comparison, Yin Tianhan and Yuan Lei’s little vehicles looked like absolute jokes. Often, right as they were dribbling, the ball would be swiped away with a whoosh. Chasing after him to get the ball back was completely out of the question.

Although Yi Xingzhi wasn’t proficient on roller skates yet, one look and you could tell he was a seasoned basketball player. His predictions of both his teammates’ and opponents’ movements were incredibly accurate, and his skills were superb. It was impossible to touch the ball in his hands.

They could clearly see him dribbling forward unhurriedly, yet they just couldn’t steal it. He always managed to dodge them and find an opportunity to pass it to Ye Nai.

By the end of the first half, the score difference between the two teams was already massive.

During halftime, Yin Tianhan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “Why don’t we just surrender? Is there really any point in continuing this?”

“We truly didn’t expect the situation to turn out like this,” the directing team also said helplessly. “The skateboard and roller skates were originally meant to increase the difficulty.”

“Now it seems like it gave them a boost,” Yuan Lei wiped a handful of sweat, stating firmly, “Let’s finish the game. We need some sportsmanship, respect.”

“Do your best, I think we can still try,” Fu Tingyuan said. “Xingzhi doesn’t skate fast, I can keep up in the car and mark him. Tianhan’s bicycle is relatively agile, so try your best to interfere with Nyle. Yuan Lei, act according to the situation and try to coordinate with me.”

He had been silent earlier, but now, with morale low, he calmly laid out a tactical plan.

The ten assistants weren’t idle either; they were busy fanning, wiping sweat, handing over water, and spraying antiperspirant. Because they had extra hands, they even serviced his two teammates.

Yuan Lei didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at the spectacle, but hearing his plan sounded pretty reliable. He only had one question: “What about Pei Ze? Are we ignoring him?”

Just now on the court, Pei Ze had barely touched the ball. Even on the rare occasion he did, he quickly passed it to a teammate, and once he even passed it off-target, allowing Yuan Lei to snatch it.

Most of the time, he was just strolling leisurely, as relaxed as an old man taking a walk, completely out of place in the tense and intense arena.

Fu Tingyuan glanced at Pei Ze and said mildly, “Let the mascot do whatever he wants.”

After formulating the new tactics, the situation in the second half really did take a turn.

Faced with one-on-one, or even two-on-one tight defense, the difficulty of passing and moving for Ye Nai and Yi Xingzhi increased drastically.

Often, right as they were about to accelerate, an opponent would suddenly block their path. To avoid crashing, they had to suppress their speed, slowing down the intensity of their fast breaks.

Despite the two being extra careful, there were still times they couldn’t avoid a collision.

While dribbling, Ye Nai was once again entangled by Yuan Lei, and Yi Xingzhi was firmly guarded by Fu Tingyuan.

Feeling a bit irritated, he planned to speed up and shake him off. He had just picked up a little speed when Yin Tianhan blocked his way. Unable to brake in time, he crashed into him.

The collision wasn’t too fierce. Yin Tianhan’s bicycle tilted slightly, but he quickly braced himself and didn’t fall over.

However, Ye Nai’s skateboard flew out from under him. Following his momentum, he had no choice but to jump diagonally forward, stumbling sideways for several steps without managing to stop.

Just as he was about to hit the ground, he cursed under his breath and adjusted into a posture that was less likely to cause injury. But suddenly, a force yanked him back, spinning him around and causing him to bump straight into the person pulling him.

He was met with a warm, solid sensation, his nasal cavity filling with that familiar, crisp scent. Ye Nai spaced out for a second before stepping back.

“Are you hurt?” Yi Xingzhi asked.

He was clearly quite far away just a moment ago. How did he break through the defense and teleport over in a flash?

He hadn’t even skated this fast during the game.

Ye Nai looked up at Yi Xingzhi, but before he could answer, cheers erupted from the other side. The Blue Team had seized the opportunity to score a goal.

Not only that, because Ye Nai had initiated the collision, according to the rules announced by the host, the Blue Team was also awarded two free throws.

“I’m fine,” Ye Nai curled his lip. “Just a bit annoyed.”

“We’re leading by so much, giving them a few points is fine,” Yi Xingzhi looked towards the free-throw line, saying calmly, “Besides, they might not necessarily make it.”

He truly hadn’t realized that this guy was actually quite arrogant too…
